On March 11, the Department of Environmental Chemistry and Chemical Education was visited by 9th grade students of Lyceum No. 3 of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council together with their teacher Natalia Halyuk. Associate Professor of the Department Liliya Midak demonstrated chemical experiments (addition and substitution reactions of alkynes, qualitative reaction on glycerol, “silver mirror” reaction) that will help students master theoretical material in organic chemistry. She also performed interesting experiments in inorganic chemistry and talked about the work of the Department in the direction of implementing STEM education.
