As part of the Advisory Board to promote the development of general secondary education at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, on May 26-31, 2021, teachers of the Department of Environmental Chemistry and Chemical Education held STEM-events “Chemistry is interesting!” in educational institutions of Ivano-Frankivsk. Assoc. Lilia Midak, Assoc. Olga Kuzyshyn and student Yulia Hrabatyn visited Lyceum 11 and Chernivtsi Lyceum, where they showed students interesting chemical experiments and discussed the importance of chemistry in everyday life.Students of Lyceum №5 in Kalush to participate in the STEM-event visited the laboratories of the Department of Environmental Chemistry and Chemical Education. Assoc. Prof. L. Midak, O. Kuzyshyn, graduate students Yu. Pakhomov, H. Buzhdygan and head of the laboratory I. Malakhov explained to 6th grade students the need for knowledge of chemistry for humans and motivated them to study this subject in senior classes. Spectacular chemical experiments once again convinced students that chemistry is interesting!
